Shout out to our Navajo Drivers! Thank you!

This is a HUGE shout out to one of our Navajo Drivers – Brandon Isbell..Please read the touching story below..Thank you for your outstanding act of heroism.
Dear Mr. Nails,

My fiance and I were riding our motorcycles down Hwy. 7 near Dover, AR on March 16th. I hit some gravel as I was negotiating a curve at 55 mph and crashed my bike. We were in a hilly area and didn’t have cell phone reception….  Your driver Brandon Isbell was one of the first to arrive on the scene. He had his dispatch call 911 and give our GPS location and then proceded to administer first aid to me.

You need to understand that I had an aneurysm in my heart several years ago so I am on blood thinners and have a pacemaker.  I was bleeding profusely, had a broken ankle, a torn spleen, and a broken finger, as well as a pretty good case of road rash and two deep wounds from my windshield. Brandon was very professional and compassionate. He cared for me until the ambulance arrived 45 minutes later. I lost 5 units of blood that day.  By the time I reached the hospital my blood pressure had dropped to 70/30 and my heart rate was well over 100.

I spent 7 days in ICU, had two screws placed in my ankle, and two surgeries on my knee. I will have a skin graft in the next month and should be good as new.  It is so refreshing to meet someone who makes a difference in the lives of others. There is no doubt in my mind that Brandon saved my life that afternoon. He is a true hero! Please give him my sincere thanks.

Warm Regards,

Nancy Scantlin

Now THAT’S Something You Can Tap Your Feet to!

Driving truck can be boring without some melodic accompaniment! Not everyone likes the same type of music. There can always be a lot of discussion on the topic of which genre is best. There’s Pop, Country, Rock, Metal, Instrumental, etc. So what type of music gets your feet tapping?

Be Careful with Visibility Limitations

With spring upon us, fog is more likely to be found on routes. Driving conditions may be fine aside from the fog. The visibility with fog can be anywhere from a few miles to a few inches. Please be especially careful in these low visibility conditions while driving. We want everyone to be safe!

Keep up with the Navajo Family!

Keeping up with others while driving truck can be difficult. Different time zones and different schedules can all be contributing factors. We want to make sure our family is connected. You can stay connected with our Navajo family on
Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and FourSquare. Keep up the great work and stay connected with us!

Stay Healthy while Driving!

Staying healthy while driving routes can be difficult. Truck stops have fast food, but not always healthy. We know it’s hard to eat a salad or a Panini while trying to be on the move, let alone find one, but we still want you to be healthy and happy. Try finding healthy snacks next time you’re at the truck stop like nuts, Perky Jerky, fruit and vegetables, and granola bars. You’re a part of our Navajo family and your health and happiness is important to us.

Happy April Fools’ Day!

With all the holiday celebrations, there will be a lot of people traveling. Make sure to watch for your blind spots and keep up with road and weather conditions. It may be spring but the weather can’t seem to make up its mind as to stay warm and sunny or to be cold and snow showers. Stay safe! Have a Happy April Fools’ Day from Navajo Express!
